My sister’s wedding woes

My sister needs cash badly. She is getting married soon and she has blown her wedding budget even before the groom-to-be gets a chance to put on his underpants. Where is she spending it on? Let me tell you. She has gotten her own wedding dress specially made and a renowned photographer to take care of her pictures. Then, there is this famous make up artist that will be doing her makeup, night and day. This alone is costing her more than USD5K. What about her church wedding in Australia? I think she needs help and she needs it fast!!

I told her not to come looking for me though. I don’t have any cash with me. I am what most people would call, a cashless cow. I remembered when I was preparing for my wedding, the photography, make-up artist and wedding dress came in an all inclusive “wedding package” from the bridal shop. That was the trend then. Though these packages still exists but not as popular. People are more interested to source for their wedding deals separately.

It does help a lot with more choices these days. Individual professional photographers are freelancing on their own instead of being attached to a single bridal shop. It also helps when its relatively easier to get cash advance or payday loans. All within the comforts of your own home and at your finger tips. Such short term loans are available to almost everyone. Makes me want to have my wedding all over again.
