Just because they have done something, it automatically entitles them to be the expert? Giving all sorts of expert opinions when they themselves can tell apple from orange? Well, its just my opinion!
Here is the deal. To me, when one decides to give out opinions, sometimes, they have to hold some kind of responsibility in doing so. Especially when influencing another. Most importantly, when giving out advise, you must at least stand in the shoes of the other person to know what to say. The thing which annoys me is that people general don’t and that the onus is then left for the recipient. Sometimes, these influences may involve someone’s life savings and not just a piece of advise on where I can find a nice condo hotel. That is sheer irresponsibility and what’s worth, if that person is someone whom you call a family or a close friend.
Some would say that its tough luck or that’s your decision, sure but it cannot be denied that what someone says, does have an impact. Its human nature and we are not perfect. So, those people who relish on dishing out what they think should stop and think about what they are saying to the other before blindly saying it.

That is a literal translation from a Cantonese saying. I am not sure if its a “CHinese” saying or whether its just from the Cantonese dialect.
Have you ever in the bus or at a crowded place and you hear someone says something utterly out of this world? I mean, if that person had reserved his/her comments or just plain “not say anything”, he/she wouldn’t have looked like a complete idiot right? Well, thats basically what it means. So, keep quiet and refrain from speaking, it might just make you look intelligent.
Not me though. You see, I am going to say something really dumb here. In fact, its a confession, a cry for help. I need to know what on earth are video wall rentals? I am serious, I have not heard anything like this. Expressly, it means there are walls for rent but what are video walls?
OK…enough. I’ve sounded more stupid than stupid does as it is. So, shove it! I don’t need to know, I don’t want to know…

“You look great”
“You’ve got your figure back after child-birth”
“I envy you, you look fantastic”
Can you see the thread? Its always whats outside a person isn’t it? I mean, especially when the compliment comes from another woman. Its like a sheer confirmed sign of validation that yes, you are indeed good-looking or you look great. Does not matter whether right there, in your medicine cabinet lies the bottles of diet pills that work or not. The fact is, you heard it from a woman, your peer, it must count for something.
I don’t think it has anything to do with what one woman thinks or feels about another. Praises and all are generally very well accepted in any instances. So, why does it mean more when someone from the same gender gives a compliment? It’s all about the bitchiness! I am serious. Think about it. We all bitch about other women, we hardly have anything good to say about another except about our friends. Even then, that is questionable. So it is that much harder to get a compliment from a woman than say compared to getting one from a man.
Men on the other hand aren’t natural born bitches. Although, the level has somewhat gone up these days for unknown reasons but still, they are pretty much laid back. Small body anatomy can always be compensated with material wealth, its no biggie. However, its not the same thing with a woman. Flashy cars will not be envied by another woman, only slimmer bodies will.
No one can ever explain this phenomenon. Well, who cares right? As long as I got the compliment I needed from my woman neighbor, I don’t even need to know the whole story of evolution. Really, I don’t!

I think the first person who has ever complained said that I am “queen” of being last minute has got to be my mom. True to her words. I try to change but you know, sometimes, in fact, most of the time, something else comes up and I would end up procrastinating. Like now, I am typing this in my kitchen whilst multi-tasking, cooking up a storm and finishing up my assignment. OK..you got me there. I am not cooking up a storm but still, I am in the kitchen trying to handle more than I can handle.
The other problem I have while trying to hold my bladder to finish up some work is that I have to do this on my miniscule dinning table in the kitchen. I swear, I wonder why we have it in the first place. We have nothing much on it but its already full of stuff that my lappie is literally sitting on the edge. One nudge and it will be on the floor! And, we all know who will be jumping up and down when that happens. I can assure you, it won’t be moi!
Other than that, I really love my kitchen. Its the best looking place of the entire house! LOL..We spent a lot of time and effort making sure we have everything we need in there. The only one thing which we couldn’t afford was the solid marble counter top. We have instead installed the replica of it (chipped wood). So far, it has lasted us this far which is good really. You could say “money well spent”.
Alright, enough of babbling. Better get some real work done. Ciao!

are being treated like celebrities. No? Fancy branded clothes, themed birthday parties with matching birthday invitations to go. I am telling you, its no wonder parents are getting poorer and there’s not enough to go round. Whats with the rising standard of living, we’ll be a pauper before we even turn 50!!
I say, forget about the GUCCI pants and Nintendos for your 7 year old. Go with the conventional Tesco brand of USD10 each and a good book or a game of football in the garden. Make believe games with toy soldiers. What? It won’t work you say? He is only 7, what is it that can’t work. We just have to be creative or if you have no creative juice…use the “I’m the parent, you are the child so you should listen to what I say” method. Whatever it is, you are the one with the cash (or lack of it) so in proper order, you should have the last word, no?

Other than my beloved family, that would be my laptop. Yep, not my bags nor my watch collection or my already dried make-up set but my lappie! Can you beat that??!! I guess its true what they say about blogging - changes your whole life!! LOL
Before I started blogging, my computer skills were as good as a 7 year old trying to navigate through human traffic at a mall. Then again, that 7 year old could be better than me. I was a complete idiot when it comes to computers. Really I was and still am by a mile. But I’ve gotten better Even my younger sisters have been impressed with me *cough* knowledge and *cough* skills..
What can you possibly do? Sometimes, you just have to learn to get with technology and forge ahead. I was literally swimming in the dark, drowning at times but learnt to float thankfully. Now that I have mastered this, its getting stale…I might just have to find myself something else to do. Probably crochet..crochet anyone? Don’t laugh, I might just knit you a funky sweater! O_O

Most women I know or come across are either unhappy with their looks, body or hair. And the obsession gets worst when they age. I think this is a universal phenomenon. Unless of course, you come from Mauritania, where fat women are considered desirable. The children are force fed in order for them to gain the desired “fat” weight.
Again, this is purely a status frenzy where fat equals wealth and thin equals poor. So, if you are seen with a fat wife, it is perceived that you are wealthy or its a sign of wealth. Now, what a dumb rule is that? No, I’m not saying that fat is ugly, I mean fat also means poor health, obesity etc…And these poor women were forced fed as young as 7 at a “fat farm”. If they refuse to eat, they’d be punished. I’d say “punish whoever thought of this in the first place”.
Thankfully, this practice is soon to be archaic and where the traditional view of fat being pretty is now considered old fashion. Men now prefers women who are thin much to the delight of women all over Mauritania. Where have all the men been all these years? Force feeding is dying out. Bring out the Phentermine no prescription I say!!
