are being treated like celebrities. No? Fancy branded clothes, themed birthday parties with matching birthday invitations to go. I am telling you, its no wonder parents are getting poorer and there’s not enough to go round. Whats with the rising standard of living, we’ll be a pauper before we even turn 50!!
I say, forget about the GUCCI pants and Nintendos for your 7 year old. Go with the conventional Tesco brand of USD10 each and a good book or a game of football in the garden. Make believe games with toy soldiers. What? It won’t work you say? He is only 7, what is it that can’t work. We just have to be creative or if you have no creative juice…use the “I’m the parent, you are the child so you should listen to what I say” method. Whatever it is, you are the one with the cash (or lack of it) so in proper order, you should have the last word, no?

Other than my beloved family, that would be my laptop. Yep, not my bags nor my watch collection or my already dried make-up set but my lappie! Can you beat that??!! I guess its true what they say about blogging - changes your whole life!! LOL
Before I started blogging, my computer skills were as good as a 7 year old trying to navigate through human traffic at a mall. Then again, that 7 year old could be better than me. I was a complete idiot when it comes to computers. Really I was and still am by a mile. But I’ve gotten better Even my younger sisters have been impressed with me *cough* knowledge and *cough* skills..
What can you possibly do? Sometimes, you just have to learn to get with technology and forge ahead. I was literally swimming in the dark, drowning at times but learnt to float thankfully. Now that I have mastered this, its getting stale…I might just have to find myself something else to do. Probably crochet..crochet anyone? Don’t laugh, I might just knit you a funky sweater! O_O

Most women I know or come across are either unhappy with their looks, body or hair. And the obsession gets worst when they age. I think this is a universal phenomenon. Unless of course, you come from Mauritania, where fat women are considered desirable. The children are force fed in order for them to gain the desired “fat” weight.
Again, this is purely a status frenzy where fat equals wealth and thin equals poor. So, if you are seen with a fat wife, it is perceived that you are wealthy or its a sign of wealth. Now, what a dumb rule is that? No, I’m not saying that fat is ugly, I mean fat also means poor health, obesity etc…And these poor women were forced fed as young as 7 at a “fat farm”. If they refuse to eat, they’d be punished. I’d say “punish whoever thought of this in the first place”.
Thankfully, this practice is soon to be archaic and where the traditional view of fat being pretty is now considered old fashion. Men now prefers women who are thin much to the delight of women all over Mauritania. Where have all the men been all these years? Force feeding is dying out. Bring out the Phentermine no prescription I say!!
