Usually, when you are in a party, don’t you ever used the lines “have you ever tried sushi?” or “have you ever skate board in your bikini”?. Its like an ice-breaker kind of question. Anyway, there I was with a bunch of girlfriends and we were asking each other “have you ever…”, the most bizarro manner. And I came up with a lame one “have you ever heard of wine of the month clubs?”. I swear, all eyes were staring at me like I’m some kind of looney from the looney-bin! Probably had one glass too many since I laughed like a maniac on drugs after I said it. Man! This has gotta stop!

I guess it’s something women have to live with. It’s God given literally.
The one thing that I truly hate when it is the time of the month is the fact that I get breakouts all over my face. There used to be 2 things I hated - the dreaded cramps but thankfully, I don’t have them anymore. These days, it’s the breakouts. No amount of acne treatment cream can help since my skin is very conducive for breeding these pesky thing-o-magee. I have truly combination skin, leaning towards the oily side more.
I suppose the weather and the food doesn’t help either. I might have to consider a colder country and be a cow all year long!

I would take a photo of my feet and show them to you but I won’t. Well, I sort of do, partly because I have just sent my toes for a little spa pedicure and they are painted in a lovely shade of beige with slight hint of gold dust (I am not too sure what the deal here is with the ‘gold dust’, must be the Olympics just around the corner). The other part of me not wanting to show you my lovely groomed toe nails is that firstly, I don’t like showing off my naked feet. So, I need an accessory of some kind, like fitflops.
Yes, you heard me right – a FIT FLOPS! Launched last summer (and soon sold out), they are England’s answer to leg-slimming secret of women all over. FitFlops helps tone, trim and tighten. FitFlops incorporate micro wobbleboard™ technology, that gives you a workout while you walk. This challenges hard to reach muscles and has been shown to have significant effect on toning the muscles of your thighs and bum. Something all we women need, don’t we?
Fit Flops come in many colours and it wouldn’t be hard to find the right fit for your feet. The White Walkstar II Fitflops is a unique and classy pair. It has full leather upper and padded microfiber lining for additional comfort. It trims your thighs and bum in addition to being super comfortable. Incidentally, this super sandals are only available online. Now, isn’t that exciting?
I say - “Step aside gym machine, Fit Flops are the new kid in town. Get yours today!”.

Although it has been stressed time and time again but I feel there is certainly no harm in saying it again - women are great.
You see, these days, society in general are more aware of the power of women. Doesn’t matter where that power lies, it could very well be at home or at work but nevertheless, women are being highly regarded. There’s no need for lengthy explanation for it, it’s simply because women have bigger roles in society these days. Women are at times, the breadwinner, the mother, the caregiver and they do it without complaints and sleep. Yet, they continue to trudge along.
Men can’t function without a woman. There’s no point denying, its a fact. Women these days are as capable as their counter-parts in many aspects and even better. Times have not changed much in terms of what women can do. It’s just men’s perception of them. In the early days, women continue to work albeit at home and even in the fields while caring for their family. Ask a man to do it and he would be complaining of a crying child that wouldn’t stop. So, you see, things haven’t really changed much. Women are made to work where ever they are. It’s just that in those days, opportunities were less.
Women these days are so much more equipped with business knowledge. Even if they are needed at home, they take advantage of small business opportunities to work from home. They have become more creative and innovative in their approach to earning a living, to relieve their family of financial burden. Much the same way as what women have been doing since the old days.
The rules are much more different these days. But the game remains the same. And the game is, that the women are the driving force in a man’s life.

We are trying to live a live free of burden. I remembered I once read a book and since I have a memory of an 90 year old, I can’t remember the title. But anyhow, it was how in the end, the woman died a free woman. Beholden to no-one and nothing. I think I would want to leave this earth that way. And of course, in my sleep cos I am scared of pain…LOL..
But at this moment, the credit card machines are simply calling out to me at the mall. Every single time, whenever I am at my favourite shop, its very tempting to just swipe, swipe and swipe. After all, even when your wallet’s empty, you will have your plastic. It’s no longer the back-up, it’s the front runner.
However, these are fleeting moments. Especially when you are financially un-independent like me, it’s not that easy as setting up credit card terminals. I mean, from a merchant’s point of view, they are happy but the happy look eludes my face. Especially the significant other’s.
Furthermore, credit card processing gained plenty of speed these days. Some even give you a pre-approved card without even checking your eligibility. OK, maybe they do, at least check if you are alive or not. But still, the rate in which these credit card companies are handing out cards are as if they were flyers on the street.
But not me. I shall not succumb to these hard core tricks that they come up with. I have turned over a new leaf. I am a new person, I have reformed. I have confessed my sins and repent. God forbid, I am a new woman.
Maybe, after the Ikea sale…
Hey, I’ve been doing some thinking lately. And that I need a face-lift. Ok, so maybe not exactly me but my home. Been going through some nice furniture in the latest Ikea furniture catalog. I’m not that much into Ikea but somehow, the brand kind of adds a touch of “luxury” to the goods and that is a million dollar perception. Or at least, that’s the view of the majority. Me? I am just going with the flow to make people think that I am super duper rich when in fact, I am not. LOL..Like they always say, what looks good on the outside, may be hollow on the inside. Yep, that basically describes the woman in me. Now, that would not be a problem for you, would it?…tsk tsk *shakes head*…
