Other than that, I’ve been working and learning my MAC machine. It’s quite a nifty little thing. And what they say about never going back to windows – they are quite right, I don’t think I’ll ever go back. This is such a great thing.

But, as with anything new, it takes sometime getting used to and it sure was (and still is) for me. It’s not as easy as I thought it would be. However, I’m certainly getting the hang of things. Except maybe the screen brightens and darkens by itself like on auto mode. I don’t know how to set it otherwise.

Apart from that, I’m finding myself photographing often again. Need the practice. Oh how I envy those with plenty of natural light flowing indoors — my house is so dark!! I know there’s always the flash and after-processing but if you ask me, I much prefer natural light. Ok, fine…I don’t know how to work my flash! heheh…

That’s not all. We are having the air-con guy coming over this Saturday to fix the air-con in the girls’ room. No new wood blinds – just old fashion 2 panel curtains. I’m getting my MIL to help me with the curtains. So, that should be done soon enough. Looking forward to our move

We will be alot busier after it. Not that we won’t be any busier before/during but just that, our busi-ness will continue post-festival.

Hows that? Well, we are planning for a minor renovation to our house. It’s so minor it is practically negligible. We plan to extend our mini backyard by putting up an awning outwards just below the roof. This is so we can do the cooking outside rather than inside. It takes too much hard work to cook our meals inside the house.

When we bought the house, we didn’t have kids yet. So cooking was the bare minimum. I mean, when you’re talking about 2 full grown adults, anything goes. But now, with the kids, no such luxury and I find myself cooking almost everyday. Apart from the floors getting oil and stuff, the whole house smells.

Also, we want to move the girls to their own room. It’s a good thing I have 2 girls because I only have one room upstairs and not enough space. We’ll see how well the girls will fare once this exercise is over. I hope I won’t see the kind of look that my insurance agent gave me when I told him that I purchased my life insurance from Wholesale Insurance!! :-S

You will think that there’s no way one can watch so much without a fancy Samsung LCD but trust me my good friends, I have been (watching way too much)!

I was having a little conversation with the hubby last night and I told him that the state of our tube is pathetic. Much like the state of our kids’ education system. And he agreed and he did mumble something about changing our ancient 21″ to something a little urm…more spectacular. Something, I have been hearing ALL.THE.TIME!! But, I am still staring at our 21″.

I guess one of my new year’s resolution will have to be more patient not only with the kids but with the big KID!!

Anyway, I have the PJ Hogan DVD sitting there on my living room table. Waiting to be devoured during movie nights with popcorn and hot cocoa. I don’t know why but I’m into cocoa lately. And the weather these days are oh…so conducive for cocoa consumption. I call it the Christmas weather.

I seem to have everything, food, mood, setting except for that blardy plasma tvs. Seriously. Can you believe it? I think, we are the only suburban household who doesn’t own one. Even my MIL’s got one. Unbelievable!!

these past couple of weeks, I have been grateful for many things: the family that I have, the life that I lead, the people that I know. Just many things that perhaps I didn’t have to look far or things that happen without you having to ask for.

i won’t say things are going exceptionally well at the moment. it’s improving which is a good thing. besides, I am definitely losing weight. a good thing if you ask me cos no more fighting the urge to resist diet pills hahahaha…i’m only kidding.

Running around town and getting errands done, I’ve only just had time for my regular dose of coffee. Extra strong!

Alright, enough about me, lets get down to the reason for my posting today. I’m trying my hands on this Monday meme that I found recently and thought it’s pretty cool. Here goes nothing :

1. 10 nouns to describe me : I like to think that I am ‘tall’, ‘witty’, ‘caring’, ‘fussy’, ‘optimist’, ‘fickle’, ‘loving’, ‘neighbourly’, ‘eldest’, friendly..

2. A kind of store I would own : The thing that struck me was to open a restaurant cos I was hungry. I still am actually. But, a restaurant isn’t really my thing cos I am not a culinary expert although, I love to eat. So, it’d have to be a quaint little corner store selling cute little knick-knacks and bags. I love those things. And I have even thought of a name – CUTESY! What do you think? heheh..

3. Something comforting that I would hold in my hands : This is easy. I have one as it is. I am a little embarrassed by it though cos I shouldn’t still be having it but I do. It’s a little brown bear I had since I was a child. Yeah, I know, it’s kinda corny but it’s true. No point denying it.

Phew! I thought I’d never get this done. I am pretty nervous cos it’s my first time so be gentle ok, guys…:-)
