Where do you find “love” - if not at your home, in your kitchen!
I was about to make us some French toast for breakfast one Sunday morning (I know - there goes my diet and yes - diet pill may be the solution). And I think, the egg had some “showing off” to do; it promptly assumed the love position as I cracked it open. “How interesting“…I thought to myself before gathering the clan and snapping a picture of it. It almost looked too cute to eat!
However, like they always say - all good things must come to an end and eventually, the adorably shaped egg succumbed to my whisk whilst being doused with milk!
Poor eggy!!
But, I hope you like my picture though

“Once upon a time there was a bunch of tiny frogs …. who arranged a running competition. The goal was to reach the top of a very high tower. A big crowd had gathered around the tower to see the race and cheer on the contestants….The race began….
Honestly:
No one in crowd really believed that the tiny frogs would reach the top of the tower.
You heard statements such as:
”Oh, WAY too difficult!!“
“They will NEVER make it to the top.”
or:
“Not a chance that they will succeed. The tower is too high!”
The tiny frogs began collapsing. One by one…Except for those, who in a fresh tempo, were climbing higher and higher….
The crowd continued to yell, “It is too difficult!!! No one will make it!”
More tiny frogs got tired and gave up….
But ONE continued higher and higher and higher….
This one wouldn’t give up!
At the end everyone else had given up climbing the tower. Except for the one tiny frog who, after a big effort, was the only one who reached the top! THEN all of the other tiny frogs naturally wanted to know how this one frog managed to do it?
A contestant asked the tiny frog how he had found the strength to succeed and reach the goal?
It turned out….That the winner was DEAF!!!!
The wisdom of this story is:
Never listen to other people’s tendencies to be
negative or pessimistic…. because they take your most wonderful dreams and wishes away from you — the ones you have in your heart!
Always think of the power words have.
Because everything you hear and read will affect your actions!
Therefore:
ALWAYS be….POSITIVE!
And above all:
Be DEAF when people tell YOU that you cannot fulfill your dreams!”

Today’s story comes in 2-parts.

First and foremost : the photo. This was shot while we were at a local Bird Park : Dubbed the Largest Free-Flight Walk-In Aviary in the World and true enough, it certainly didn’t disappoint. I will probably show you more photos in the near future but for now, this photo was taken at the parrots’ haven of the park. We were allowed to feed these little chirpy but loud birdies with sunflower seeds purchased at the park for a reasonable sum. As you can see from the photo, 4 of them decided to simultaneously perch on the woman’s hands for some yummy goodies. Also, let me tell you this : there were in fact more when we first saw them but a few flew away towards other feeding customers when they probably realized that this poor woman’s arm had limited standing space. Nevertheless, we caught the nibbling act just in time while the woman laughed and giggled away.
The next thing I had wanted to include with this story is that our nation will be celebrating it’s 51st Independence Day this Sunday. So, yeah, Happy Birthday Malaysia!
My country, despite its niggling flaws and it’s youth, is actually a wonderful country to belong and I am proud to call it home! I chose this photo for today because of the sheer vibrant colors of the birds’ feathers; that to me, represents exactly what we, the citizens of Malaysia, are - a melting pot of diverse culture, living in harmony and most importantly, full of life. Plus, my country’s name is proudly displayed around the wrist of an obviously excited tourist!. I don’t think this post has enough space for me to write plenty more pleasantries of my beloved country. It just won’t be justified. But, trust me when I say that if you were ever to visit us and once you have, you will never leave with an ounce of regret, ever - that I can promise you.
With that, it is our sincere hope that you and your loved ones will be surrounded by beautiful colors. Have a wonderful weekend!

My girl has been having trouble sleeping lately. We’ve been trying hard to find out the problem but from the looks of it, I don’t think there is. I’ve come to deduce that her sleeping pattern has just simply changed. And this sleep transition is anything but easy for my poor kid.
But, as what they’ve been saying is true - patience do pay. Though it was rather tough on us all, she seems to be getting back on track especially for her afternoon naps which she has had the most difficulty doing. This photo is proof of that fact as I found her fast asleep on the mattress one afternoon. And I’m happy to report that she’s been napping ever since, on that very mattress

Today’s PhotoStory Friday, there will be a slight twist.

Instead of the usual story accompanying a photo, I will pose a simple pseudo pop-quiz. How does that sound? Excited? LOL…Sorry but there isn’t a give-away to this though cos well, this is just for the fun of it. Just to see the extent of the human imagination.
My question is - “When you look at this photo, what does it resemble?”
Told you it’s a simple one. *smile*
OK, what are you waiting for? Lets get cracking…:-D
Update : Thanks for being such a sport guys! Yes, I too thought it looked like a pregnant bump! LOL…Guess great minds think alike! ;-). This is really a photo of a leaf taken shortly after the rain.
Words of the day : used Harleys

Really, there is nothing extraordinary about these windows. Yet, I felt compelled to take a photo of them for whatever reason.
I was at this hill-top french inspired resort one weekend and while snapping photos of almost everything, including everyone (sure am glad no one took away my camera lest they thought I was some desperate seeking paparazzi). It was at that time, standing, leaning against these windows that I heard the most horrible, horrible voice singing one of Celine Dion’s number (I am truly sorry Celine!). I swear, it was worst than how I sound, choking on food!
The ‘noise’ came from those windows.I took a peek inside just to check out the croaker. The fact that I did not take a picture of her proves that she looked as good as her singing was ;-). I retreated from there and before leaving, the windows caught my eye and my view-finder and so, here we are..:-)
