You know, I am supposed to write about happy stuffs. Positive things. But, I can’t; especially not with this piece of news. Even though, whoever came up with this claims that the reduction will have minimal impact on the people but I can tell you that it will have a lot. A.L.O.T!!

For starters, many hawkers will start increasing prices of their bowl of noodles quoting the increase in fuel costs inevitably raises costs of raw materials, ingredients bla bla bla…it’s a vicious cycle I know. But, I can tell you that these vendors will rake in every penny they can get with this opportunity to the maximum! By doing this, they will increase the inflation rate sky high.

They just don’t get it. Our standard of living will only get higher. They simply don’t get it, do they? Many will suffer as a result of this because the minimum wage hasn’t changed…at all in the past 10 years. Just unbelievable.

Also, people no longer fear wearing black to weddings. Heck, the wedded couple themselves no longer see ‘black’ as bad luck. SOme even have the “black theme” for their wedding! I for one am quite the superstitious one; no black tie wedding for me. I am strange. I won’t even take pronexin. I am just an old fashion girl .

Anyway, I’m honestly very superstitious. I have no idea why but I am.

Funny how this little underwater creature managed to turn famous overnight. Faster than any American Idol finalists. A very strange phenomena indeed. Did you know, for the finals, he predicted Spain to win. I wonder why? SOmehow I think the outcome will be the direct opposite. It usually happens that way.

Hmm..let me get a little crazy here : Wouldn’t Paul look splendid with a “head” full of hair? I mean, he can’t look like a regular octopus, now can he? He must really look different and must be seen to stand out among the rest. Since he is literally urm..bald, don’t you think that a good rub of the head with a splatter of hair growth shampoo will do the trick? I think so!!!

I honestly hadn’t expected this considering their run thus far in the World Cup. They were a class above the rest. Plus, SPain didn’t score as many goals as they did so I figured, this should be a win for them.  Besides, Spain were running around like loose diamonds. So, once again, Paul the “German” Octopus has got his prediction right. Germany lost and all Spain needed was just that solitary gold to march into the FInals on Sunday.

I know many will have WC withdrawal syndrome once this is over. I know I will too. We waited for such a long time and even though a month of football sounds like a lot but trust me, it really isn’t.

Anyway, whatever it is, I feel that life will be back to normalcy once this whole thing blows over. Everyone will have some peace and good-nite’s sleep!! For the folks at this part of the world.

I actually forgot about the match last night. I was too tired and I just went to bed early. And, when I woke in the morning and was told left right and centre that the amazing dutch-men have secured their place in the finals. So, it’s up to the next 2 European teams to battle it out tonight. It’s turning out to be Euro Cup all over again hehhe..

Frankly, if you ask me, it’s pretty disappointing that the Asian and the African teams did not qualify to the semis again. I was really hoping for Japan or Ivory Coast to do some magic but it didn’t work out for them. I wonder if it’s because they lack publicity? I mean, they certainly don’t get as much exposure as the European teams for sure. Perhaps, the key now is to get more Asian or African players into the European or English clubs. Groom them. Oh and don’t forget, I’ve heard that direct mail marketing can be a pretty powerful tool for marketing as well..SOmething to consider??

Then, Rafa won his 2nd Wimbledon title. It’s crazy. But, I was hoping someone other than Federer would win cos it’s so boring already. Fed’s still my idol but somehow, seeing the same person winning all the time, is getting a bit boring. So, in a way, I am glad Rafa won.

Finally, my regular car insurance agent told us he no longer does car insurance. O_O!!! We have been so comfortable having someone to help us with our car insurances all these years. Furthermore, he not only does ours but my FIL’s as well. Luckily, he’s still my life insurance agent hehehe…Apparently, he’s got other business in mind so he had to stop doing one.

Oh well, getting an auto insurance quote in the future will not be so easy anymore. In fact, I don’t think I can get it automatically anymore in light of this.

I’m not even sure why they bother to call me. I don’t have income, I can’t contribute to their ever growing business revenue. Still, they are calling me. I should really just change my mobile number. But, the problem is, if I do that, I would still have to inform them about the change and hence, the cycle starts all over.

They want to sell me stuff. Why would you even want to sell me anything I don’t have money to pay for? I keep telling them but they simply just would not listen. It’s like I am speaking in German or something. Or telling them about Mesothelioma!! Seriously, makes no sense to me that they just don’t understand what I am saying despite us speaking the same language. Maybe they are paid to develop selective hearing. Some things they hear, and some things they choose not to.
