In oh, 2 and a half weeks from now, my PIL will be heading towards the southern region of the hemisphere. No, not exactly the south pole but close enough from their perspective. They will be meeting up with family; a trip we will sorely miss this time around.

I’m both glad and erm…not so glad; glad for them that they’d be seeing their children once again after a long break but I’m not exactly looking forward to house-sitting both houses while they are away for an entire month. Besides, I prefer the comforts of my own home but the reality is and for security reasons, we’d have to move over to their house during their absence. Oh we’d get to come home, like during the weekends – to make sure everything is still intact. Otherwise, it’s off to MIL’s for Christmas and New Years.

Another positive thing about MIL’s is that they have a huge garden and Ash loves it there. We’d be getting her the kiddy pool and a beach ball so she can enjoy the water in the mornings. That reminds me – I gotta get her one of those cute 2 pieces I’ve had my eye on for quite a while now. Some exciting times she’ll be having.

The other day, in my absent-mindedness, I reminded MIL to take extra pre-caution by bringing extra pair of Icebreaker Clothing. Gnat heard me and had this to say “Erm..not at 90 degrees you don’t” to which I just laughed at my silly thought. It clearly slipped my mind that they’re not headed for London or the North Pole; it’s not going to get any colder down under. Oh well, I suppose this can only mean one thing – more room for extra souvenirs and pressies for us! *grins*

haha, wearing baselayers in the 90 degree weather would be a torture! what were you thinking :) maybe it was the heat… i wish i can say the same here, it’s more like 30 over here! so baselayers are quite essential in keeping warm and cosy… so is hot chocolate :) speaking off… i think i’m due for another cup! yummy..
