Since my in-laws came back, it’s as if Ash is in perpetual fun-land. It all due to the fact that she gets and do whatever she wants. Even at this age, she knows how to get around her grandparents. She’s got her grandparents wrapped around her little finger.

Literally.

Anyway, we’ve been in that discussion mode again. The one that always asks the questions – “to go or not to go?”"to “leave or not to leave?”

No, I’m not talking about heading back home but more like, migrating to another country. See, Gnat’s brother and sisters have all migrated.  And we have been in discussion every now and then on whether we want to follow suit. His parents will be happy. They will be happy. But to uprrot us and change everything in our lives – I’m not too sure. Which is also why all we’ve ever been doing for the past 10 years is talk about it and not actually doing anything about it.

Another reason why we’re not moving ahead with the idea is because of the costs involved. The thousands of dollars we’ve got to throw in to the government, the immigration lawyer, just about everyone will get a cut and we will be left all dried up (in our pockets that is). You get my drift?

It just doesn’t make financial sense at this juncture and I’m not about to cross that road anytime soon. Well, not yet at least. I’m not sure when, but definitely our of the question for now.
