It has been raining since 5 am and the clock on the wall now says 6:30am. She’s been awake all night and that’s how she knew. Not wanting to wake the sleeping folks, she got up slowly and tip-toed downstairs. She worked the coffee machine for a nice cup of hot coffee. The rain is still pouring, it’s dark outside. She couldn’t sleep. She grabbed the remote control from the top of her old trusty tv perched steadily on the antique tv stand. “TV might be a good distraction. I may just fall asleep again after 5 minutes of the weather channel” she thought to herself while sipping her coffee.

But, she didn’t, she couldn’t. The phone call kept playing in her mind over and over. “Why now? Why after all this time?..” she mumbled.
