I watched the 2010 version of karate kid last night. It should’ve been called kung-fu kid instead. They shouldn’t have used the same title. I find it odd and just doesn’t do much justice to the real karate kid. What I like about the film was the scenes. So awesome the part where they climbed thousands of stairs just to drink from the water fountain.

Apart from that, the entire movie was so cliche. I’m just not used to watching Jackie Chan playing such a serious role. There were subtle humor here and there especially when he said “lets rock and roll” during one final scene.

Oh a mention about Jaden Smith – the spitting image of his dad. Actually, he’s a mini-me version of his dad. Seriously. His demeanor, his attitude, his sneakers. Speaking of which, I don’t know where he gets them from. They look majorly cool. I bet he gets them from sneaker stores in the US and not China hahahah…Well, too bad he’s only 12 because when he’s 18, he’ll be breaking hearts out there. So…better watch out world- Jaden Smith is in town!!
