Time to grab some goodies
We are currently experiencing a nationwide sale. Everything has come down and some may even have to go. But am I all excited about it? Truth is – I am not.
“What??? You a woman…not excited…NOOOOO“…some of you may gasp in horror. Before I get on the plane of self-righteousness, I’d like to explain :
Firstly, this isn’t the first time we are having this mega bombastic sales around the shops. Initially, yeah, everyone got all excited and thronged the malls (some still do unfortunately) but when you’ve had this event every year for the last couple of years, it doesn’t seem to offer the kind of excitement that you’d crave for. I mean, you gotta beat the traffic getting to the malls, drive around aimlessly for hours just for a carpark spot and not to mention, like a stalker trailing shoppers who’ve just got out from shopping with the hope of nixing their spot.
It can be madness!
Secondly, the shops rarely disclose the latest designs for sale. They would either hide them or put a sign up that says “regular price” or “no discount”. And all those products or clothes that are fortunate enough to make it on the sale racks are usually from last season or from previous sales that the shop-owners couldn’t get rid off. You may find some that are severely defective even! I am telling you, promotional products aren’t usually good deals during huge sales period like this.
So, you see, I have valid reasons for not getting all uppity about some silly sale gimmick. I’d rather spend wisely; buy stuff that are of good quality that will lasts longer and end up being happy about my purchase. That way, I get my money’s worth and more time for something else.
Which incidentally brings me to – my photographs. I’ve been taking some lately. So stay tuned, I’d be back for more!
