I’m sure by now, if you’re a camera enthusiast or just simply love drooling over shooting gears, there’s that new D300s out in the market. Oh, I’m talking about Nikon. It’s still relatively new in the market since it was launched less than 2 months ago.

I am thinking about it because basically, I would have gone for the older used D300 in any case. It’s just a matter of when. With the new upgrade now, I’m not sure anymore. I’m still reading the reviews as and when they are being published. So far, most have stated that the only significant difference between the 2 is the live video mode. And frankly, I don’t really need one on my camera.

Also, another reason why I’m still mulling over the idea is the cost factor. You see, if I have to pay USD1800 for one, it’s still acceptable. But, not when I have to pay three times that amount due to the exchange rate. Now, that becomes another story altogether. Which is why, I’m struggling over this.

So, why would I want this upgrade? It’s a huge jump from my entry level which incidentally is good enough for my orlando vacations. I want more actually. I want to be satisfied with what I am getting. I don’t want to get a D90 which cost alot less but doesn’t give me a whole lot of satisfaction. However, I think, the only way to decide would be to test out both cameras for a week. So, anyone wanna trade cameras with me?
